Temp-to-Hire Staffing
Temp-to-hire takes the best of temporary staffing and the best of direct hire staffing and blends them together. If you are unsure whether your company will need someone long term or short term, or if you simply like to try out a new employee before making a commitment, temp-to-hire staffing may be right for you.
You will work with an EEI resource manager who will advertise the position, screen resumes, interview candidates, and test candidates in their skill area. When suitable candidates are found, your resource manager will forward the resumes to you for review. We will then schedule interviews for you at your convenience.
During the entire process, your time commitment is minimal. We understand that you need to find the right person, fast. That's why we do the preliminary work for you. But the important decisions are still yours to make.
Pre-screening and testing
You will only receive resumes from candidates that EEI has carefully screened and tested in the selected skill area. You don't have to sift through resumes and schedule countless interviews -- we've already done that part for you.
Once you find one or more resumes that interest you, we will set up the interview for you, as well as a follow-up interview if necessary.
The temp-to-hire agreement
Before hiring a temp-to-hire employee, you will approve a temp-to-hire agreement with EEI. The agreement outlines the terms of the arrangement, including the hourly rate that EEI will bill you during the temporary period, as well as the flat fee you will pay to place the candidate as a regular employee of your company. The flat fee is based on the candidate's first-year salary, and may vary per candidate and according to how long the temporary period lasts.
During the temporary period, EEI bills you a per-hour rate for the temporary employee. We take care of processing the employee's timesheets and send you regular invoices for the hours worked. When you are ready to accept the employee as a direct hire at your company, you will pay a flat fee to EEI for the placement. The flat fee, as well as the per-hour rate, are agreed upon in advance and approved by you before you make any hiring decisions.
After you have paid the placement fee, the candidate becomes your employee and you are under no further obligation to EEI.
No obligation to hire
When you use EEI's staffing services, you are under no obligation to hire one of the candidates we send you, even after you have interviewed the candidate. EEI staffing services narrows the potential pool of applicants so you don't have to waste time on undesirable candidates, skills testing, and paperwork. But you make the final decision.
While we are confident that we will be able to find a suitable candidate, you are not restricted from advertising the position elsewhere.
