Q: What will my hourly rate be for a paid holiday?
A: Your hourly rate for holidays will be your average rate, the same as we calculate your hourly rate for leave.
Q: If I'm available to work at least 21 hours during a week with a holiday but there is not enough work for me, will I be eligible for the holiday pay?
A: No.
Q: If I take 21 hours of EEI Communications-paid leave during a week with a holiday, will I get paid for the holiday?
A: No, you may not use leave time to reach the required 21 hours.
Q: If I am assigned to a job that is scheduled to run full-time all week but something—illness, snow, lack of work—prevents me from working the 21-hour minimum, will I get paid for the holiday?
A: No, you must work at least 21 hours.
Q: What if I work a total of 32 hours for two clients in one week, and each client observes the holiday on a different day?
A: You should select just one of the days as your holiday.
Q: Will I get paid for a holiday that EEI Communications doesn't observe?
A: Not unless the client specifically requests that EEI pay you for that day.
