DESKTOP PRODUCTION

Join the EEI Production Contractor Bid List and open the door to a steady stream of freelance work in the DC metro area.

Experienced Quark and InDesign contractors bid on short-term contracts (1 to 2 months or less).

Contractors must use best practices for styles, master pages, fonts (kerning, use of attributes, etc.), consistency and have excellent communication skills. Must be available throughout the project both by e-mail and telephone (cell preferred) and for occasional meetings in Old Town Alexandria. Professionalism, responsiveness and communication are as highly valued as technical skill.

Contract projects entail:

-creation of templates and layout of documents

-generation of indexes and tables of contents

-assessing and revising existing documents from electronic and marked-up copy.

-revisions to work you have produced

-adherence to strict timeline/deadlines
