In class, you will work through practical hands-on exercises to learn essential techniques for using the document and project collaboration tools in Windows SharePoint Services. Designed for beginning-level users to achieve expertise with basic SharePoint.
Microsoft SharePoint II – Building SharePoint Sites
Microsoft SharePoint is a portal-based collaboration and document management platform from Microsoft. It can be used to host Web sites, termed SharePoint Portals, which can be used to access shared workspaces and documents, as well as specialized applications such as wikis and blogs, from within a browser. This class will help you learn more about building SharePoint Portals.
Microsoft SharePoint III – Installing and Working With SharePoint Server
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to make modifications that can be applied to all users on the site or to individual users using Microsoft SharePoint contols. Learn how to apply personalization to Web pages so that when a user modifies pages and controls, the settings can be saved to retain that user’s personal preferences.
Microsoft SharePoint Designer I
You will learn how to customize Microsoft SharePoint Sites using the SharePoint designer applications. You will learn about the tools needed to give a SharePoint site a customized look and feel and program advanced features not available to the user in the SharePoint Web interface. This course will require you to install the SharePoint Designer program and connect to a SharePoint server with root Administrator rights. Familiarity with SharePoint is beneficial for this class, but not required.
Microsoft SharePoint Best Practices
Implementing SharePoint Server represents a philosophy shift for companies both in organization and policy. To use SharePoint to its fullest potential takes planning and understanding of the Microsoft design philosophy. This course is designed to give IT professionals and administrators the tools needed to facilitate the paradigm shift that SharePoint represents in data storage and collaboration. Knowledge of SharePoint is not required for this course.
