EEIWay Features
What are EEIWay’s main features?
EEIWay’s workflow management and collaboration platform is based on XML Open Architecture, and contains the following fully integrated components:
WYSIWYG Creator/Editor
With the EEIWay Creator/Editor, writers and editors can import or compose articles that they want to include in their publications. The Editor provides easy-to-access, standard functions for document editing. It allows users to create reusable templates and set predefined corporate styles. The Editor makes remote and collaborative work possible, where all users can access the same application-independent XML files.
Digital Asset Manager
EEIWay establishes project-specific catalogs where project assets are stored. No need to worry about file formats or source applications — EEIWay accepts them all.
Integrated Adobe InDesign
EEIWay contains a fully functional Adobe InDesign CS4 interface.
Flat Planner
For print projects, EEIWay has an integrated imposition tool that allows all project stakeholders to see the publication layout plan and how it appears as text, graphics, and advertising (if applicable) are placed and flowed into the pages.
Virtual Workflow Manager
EEIWay creates specific workflow milestones (e.g., Started, In Progress, Revision Round 1, For Final Approval, Approved, and Completed). Users can check the current progress within a publication workflow, and authorized users can change the status of a publication when specific criteria have been met.
EEIWay includes a messaging system that can be accessed from the Virtual Desktop. This system allows EEIWay users to communicate with each other, typically to exchange information on an ongoing publication on which several users are collaborating. The messaging system works with both users and profiles, so that a message can be sent to all individuals within a specific profile as well as to several recipients from a list of users or profiles.
