Web site and Intranet - Government

EEI was engaged in a two-phase Web project for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In phase one, we designed or redesigned three Web sites: HelpWithMyBank.gov, which was designed from scratch to help answer consumer questions about banks; OCC.net, OCC’s intranet site, which went live in August 2009 serving the needs of OCC employees and contractors; and OCC.gov, which serves the general public....

Magazine and Web site - Association

When EEI first engaged with the Society for Technical Communication (STC) the goal was clear – to move to a digital only offering with a print-on-demand component. for both the technical journal, Technical Communication and the association magazine, Intercom. Both a decline in membership and stagnant advertising revenues were contributing factors in the decision, as well as a responsibility of the association to offer members greater value through an HTML-based, online publication format....

Web site - Government Museum

EEI was contracted by the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) to translate their live exhibit hall to the web. AOC’s visitor center has a vast amount of content and would take a person an entire day to walk through. EEI’s approach was to bring a coherent and relevant flow of content that is similar to the flow of the live exhibit hall and translate it within the confines of a web browser....



Office of Compliance

Web site - Government

EEI was chosen to redesign the Office of Compliance’s (OOC) website. However, once we reviewed their current site we realized that we needed to conduct a Retain-or-Toss (ROT) analysis of the current content before migration. EEI was instructed to design the website similar to www.whitehouse.gov. EEI did this while keeping in mind that OOC’s Web site was content driven and not news driven and per OOC instructions. While it is not a high design site it is exactly what the client wanted....
